Gannawarra Shire Council will hold 12 council meetings in 2023.
The schedule of meetings for the coming year was approved at the November council meeting, with the current structure of monthly meetings between February and December retained.
“Meetings of council enable councillors to consider and make decisions on matters of public interest, including, but not limited to, financial matters, planning, policies and projects,” Mayor Charlie Gillingham said.
“Council meetings held during 2022 have occurred at locations ranging from the Kerang Senior Citizens Centre, as well as virtually via Zoom.
“These meetings have also been live-streamed or recorded, enabling residents to watch proceedings live or at a later time from the comfort of home.”
2023 Gannawarra Shire Council meeting dates: Wednesday, February 15; Wednesday, March 15; Wednesday, April 19; Wednesday, May 17; Wednesday, June 28; Wednesday, July 19; Wednesday, August 16; Wednesday, September 20; Wednesday, October 18; Monday, November 6 (mayoral election); Wednesday, November 15; and Wednesday, December 20.
