Give the gift of music

Does anyone have a record player capable of playing old 78 records that they are willing to part with?

If so, there is a man in Jerilderie who would be extremely happy to hear from you.

One of our senior citizens has a collection of 78s, some probably collectors’ items, and he is, at present, unable to enjoy the memories they bring back.

If you can help, please contact Peter on 0427 210 939.

It’s that time of year again. The Jerilderie Lions Calendar for 2025 is now being prepared.

The calendar is a Lions community project, providing a free calendar to every household in the district, with lots of space for noting appointments, and a handy ‘go-to’ for contact details of many local services.

If anyone would like their business to appear on the calendar, or if there are any changes required to existing information, please contact Richard on 0427 856 252.

St Joseph’s Catholic School will be celebrating Book Week on August 30, with a parade at 9.30am.

The parade will be followed by a Father’s Day breakfast and the annual dads versus students footy match, which is always a popular battle of wits.

This is a chance to celebrate the dads, granddads and special men in the lives of the school community.

The Murrumbidgee Local Health District has issued an invitation to anyone interested in training as a volunteer leader for adult aquatic fitness exercise classes.

A free two-day training course will be provided, with accommodation and meals included if required.

No previous exercise experience is required, but no doubt one would need to be happy in the water!

Dates for training at this time are October 21 and 22, at a venue yet to be decided. Call Adele on 0409 781 326 if you are interested.
