GOTAFE trainer up for top award

Megan Dodd is a finalist.

A GOTAFE trainer has been nominated for Teacher/Trainer of the Year.

Trainer and assessor in Agriculture, Megan Dodd, was shortlisted for the award in the 2024 Victorian Training Awards, highlighting the important work GOTAFE does in agricultural vocational education and training.

Executive director of education Luke Surace said Ms Dodd is very deserving of the nomination.

“We are so proud of Megan and her dedicated to student experiencing and improving access to education,” he said.

“Megan puts students and their learning at the centre of everything she does in her role as a trainer, whether it is in a classroom or working with industry.”

Ms Dodd’s work involves close collaboration with industry stakeholders to develop and deliver courses.

She is also a member of several professional bodies, including the Victorian TAFE Association, the National Herd Improvement Association and Dairy Australia, promoting continuous improvement and excellence in the VET and agriculture sectors.

“I am deeply humbled by the opportunity to be considered for this nomination and am committed to making meaningful contributions to the advancement of vocational education and training,” Ms Dodd said.

“My dedication to advancing VET practice and driving positive change within the agriculture industry is unwavering.”
