Not-for-profit organisations are encouraged to apply for the latest round of volunteer grants from the Commonwealth Government, with a focus this year on supporting under 18s.
Federal Member for Farrer Sussan Ley said nominations are welcome from any group developing the physical or social wellbeing of local children, such as football and netball clubs right through to Scouts or Girl Guides.
“Funding amounts of between $1000 to $5000 are available for a worthy applicant, part of $10 million in capped funding going to every part of Australia,” Ms Ley said.
“It can help your group purchase things like new tech or communication tools, much needed equipment, training and transport costs, storage, work tools, volunteer screening checks or even insurance cover.
“The first stage of applications is via an expression of interest (EOI) form which is available at my website - sussanley.com.”
It is recommended you carefully check the associated grant guidelines before submitting an EOI by the deadline of 5pm Friday, January 17.
Successful applicants will receive funding from mid-2025.
