Greater Shepparton Seniors Festival: What’s on in week two

The 2023 Victorian Seniors Festival is well under way! Until October 31, senior citizens in Greater Shepparton are invited to partake in free to low-cost activities. Find details of some of week two’s events below:

Monday, October 9

Toe-Tapping Light Lunch

The Lions Club of Toolamba invites all community members to eat to the beat at its Toe-Tapping Light Lunch. While enjoying the lunch spread, feast your eyes on the entertaining band The Splinters and sing and dance along to the music if you wish!

When: Noon to 2pm

Tuesday, October 10

The Beatlez — tribute band

Here come The Beatlez: The Beatlez tribute band is the major event for the Seniors Festival in Greater Shepparton.

All You Need Is Love and The Beatlez! Seniors from Shepparton, Moira, Benalla and Strathbogie will Come Together at Riverlinks Eastbank over The Beatlez tribute band for an afternoon of entertainment. Re-live all the Beatlemania classics, from Help! to Hey Jude.

Bestselling author Chris Hammer is visiting the region to discuss his new book, The Seven. At Shepparton Library, hear about his compelling thriller where nothing is ever quite what it seems. Copies of the book will be available for purchase, and a light supper will be provided.

Ever wondered what Home Care Packages are available in Greater Shepparton? Community Interlink (from GV Health) has organised this event to answer all your questions. At Mooroopna Library, find out what Home Care Packages are, how they may support seniors to remain in their homes, and how to apply.

The Shepparton Library will be an abode of entertainment on Thursday night for a special screening of The Dish. Enjoy complimentary refreshments and popcorn while watching one of the most remarkable events in history — man’s first steps on the moon.
