Guns stolen from Goulburn Valley property

Missing: Two guns were allegedly stolen from a Goulburn Valley property on Thursday.

Two guns were allegedly stolen from a Goulburn Valley property on Thursday, May 2.

Shepparton Crime Investigation Unit’s Detective Senior Constable Andrew Costello said the two rifles, as well about $13,000 worth of power tools, were allegedly stolen from a rural property at Bunbartha.

The following morning, police conducted multiple search warrants on Shepparton and Kyabram homes.

A number of the allegedly stolen power tools were found at a Kyabram house.

The Winchester .22 calibre rifle and Remington semi automatic .22 calibre rifle have not been found and police investigations are continuing.

A 29-year-old Shepparton woman, a 27-year-old Shepparton man and a 47-year-old Cobram woman have been arrested and charged with a number of charges, including theft of a firearm, theft and burglary.

The Shepparton woman has been remanded in custody to face Shepparton Magistrates’ Court in July.

The Shepparton man and Cobram woman were bailed by a bail justice at an out-of-hours bail hearing on Friday night.

They will both next face the Shepparton Magistrates’ Court later in May.
