Goulburn Valley Community Energy is again working with the Brotherhood of St Laurence as a community outreach partner to assist communities in applying for the $250 Power Saving Bonus from the Victorian Government.

The government says every household is eligible for the $250 bonus for comparing energy prices online.

Victorian residents who go to compare.energy.vic.gov.au and have a copy of their electricity bill handy are able to get the rebate, with one available per home.

GVCE will conduct on-site visits to places such as caravan parks and retirement villages in the Goulburn Valley where there is a minimum of 20 people who are wishing to apply.

Managers of such places can get in touch by calling 0490 364 967 or 0490 357 915 to book a date for GVCE to assist residents.

Alternatively, each person who wants to apply can call either of the phone numbers and speak to GVCE staff for free assistance.

They need to make sure they have access to their electricity bill; payment options to receive the rebate are electronic funds transfer and cheque.

If you received the $50 Power Saving Bonus and/or the $250 Power Saving Bonus for concession recipients and meet the eligibility requirements of the new $250 bonus, then your household can apply for the new $250 payment.
