Blown away: Goulburn Valley Concert Orchestra.

Following a successful annual concert, Goulburn Valley Concert Orchestra is pleased to present its 2023 Chamber Concerts, a series of free Sunday afternoon performances.

The concerts at Riverlinks Eastbank, Shepparton, will provide music lovers with a delightful variety of performances by members of the orchestra in smaller groups.

The series aims to showcase the region’s finest instrumentalists and musicians, featuring past and present members performing as soloists or in small ensembles.

Each concert will present a different program, ranging from strings to brass and vocal talents.

The first concert, on Sunday, August 27, will feature Shepparton Strings, brass and wind ensembles, and vocal soloist Renee Rankin.

The September 3 concert will feature composer and pianist Wade Gregory, and a new composition, commissioned by Cindy and David Abbey, will be performed.

The final concert, on September 10, will feature local jazz duo Wade Gregory and Brian Mathews.

Soprano Sherryn Parnell will perform with John Noble’s Shepparton string ensemble, Shensemble.

Riverlinks acting manager Hannah Shelton said it was exciting to partner with Goulburn Valley Concert Orchestra once again.

“The Chamber series is a testament to the vibrant arts community we have in the Greater Shepparton region,” she said.

“It’s always a pleasure to welcome extraordinary local talent to the stage.”

Make sure to mark your calendars and join the Goulburn Valley Concert Orchestra Chamber Concerts.

Entry is by gold coin donation and bookings are not required.

All performances will be held at Riverlinks Eastbank, beginning at 2pm.
