Dogs of Shepparton rejoice! The off-leash dog park is back.

The dog park at Princess Park has finally reopened after being out of action since October.

The park again threw open its gates to the canine residents of Shepparton on Wednesday, January 25.

The off-leash dog park — the only one in Shepparton where dogs do not have to be on their leads — has not been able to be used since the city was hit by the devastating floods in October.

The Goulburn River flooded into the dog park, as well as the rest of the Princess Park area, with water remaining for quite some time before it eventually drained away.

When The News visited the dog park on Friday there were some very happy hounds running around playing and just enjoying being back in the space.
