Greater Shepparton City Council is reminding residents that it is their last chance to provide feedback to help shape the 2024-25 budget.

The budget sets where council will allocate funding for the provision of capital works and delivery of services for the next financial year.

This year, council has brought forward community engagement to allow submissions to be received before the draft budget is developed.

This feedback will allow the community to influence and guide the development stage, allowing greater input into the final document.

City of Greater Shepparton Mayor Shane Sali urged residents to fill in the survey and tell council what they would like to see funded in coming years.

“This pre-draft consultation is really important as it allows council to get on the front foot of what residents would like to see funding allocated for,” he said.

“We hope by bringing this feedback and the opportunity for in-person submissions forward, the community will have a greater input into the final document.”

Community consultation close on Friday, December 8.
