Have your say on the new Mid Murray Zone Bush Fire Risk Management Plan

The Mid Murray Zone Bush Fire Risk Management Plan has recently undergone review and the Bush Fire Management Committee are asking local residents to share their feeback.

A BFRMP is a comprehensive document that maps and assesses the level of bush fire risk across an area and the proposed treatments to minimise and mitigate the risk.

These strategies may directly affect residents and their properties.

The document can be viewed online at www.rfs.nsw.gov.au/plan-and-prepare/managing-bush-fire-risk/bushfire-management-committees/mid-murray-zone

Copies of the BFRMP are also available at the following locations:

  • Mid Murray Zone Fire Control Centre, Macknight Dve, Deniliquin
  • Edward River Council at the Customer Service Centre, 180 Cressy St. Deniliquin
  • Murray River Council at the Mathoura Visitor and Business Centre, Cobb Hwy, Mathoura
  • Murray River Council at the Moama office, 52 Perricoota Rd, Moama

Residents are encouraged to provide feedback and raise concerns about the draft BFRMP through the online portal at www.rfs.nsw.gov.au/plan-and-prepare/managing-bush-fire-risk/bush-fire-managementcommittees/mid-murray-zone.
