A man has been charged in relation to the ram-raiding of a Cobram store earlier this month.
A 34-year-old man was arrested by Melbourne detectives on April 17 at a property in Heidelberg West, based on information from detectives at the Cobram Criminal Investigations Unit.
The man from Heidelberg West was charged with multiple offences related to the alleged burglary of the Wingate’s Intersport store on Cobram’s Bank St in the early hours of April 1.
He was charged with burglary, handling stolen goods, theft and theft from four vehicles in Cobram that night.
The man also faces charges of theft in Kialla and theft at a Wahring service station on April 1.
Detectives also charged the man with offences tied to locations across Melbourne, including aggravated burglary, theft and theft of a motor vehicle in Viewbank, theft in Port Melbourne and theft and handling stolen goods in Mill Park.
After appearing in Heidelberg Magistrates’ Court on April 17, the man was remanded in custody to appear again in the same court on April 29.
No application has been made for bail.
Police are still making inquiries in relation to the outstanding goods allegedly stolen from the Intersport store in Cobram.
