A diet of meal worms and wet lorikeet mix while in the best of care has helped the recovery of a sugar glider at Rushworth.
A joint effort between Shepparton’s Pit Stop youth engagement centre, Rushworth Wildlife Shelter and both Shepparton and Rushworth Field & Game Clubs saw the glider returned to its natural habitat on Saturday, November 9.
A nesting box, needing to modified from its usual use for birds by having climbing structures added, was installed at the Rushworth Golf Club and the little flying marsupial was back among the gum trees.
