The Shepparton Art Museum is opening its rooftop bar space to the public in its new event series, SAM at sunset.

The series of events will run weekly across March and early April on the fourth floor bar terrace overlooking Victoria Park Lake.

SAM acting chief executive Andrew Gooley said the series was an opportunity for the museum to engage the new space, exploring what the venue had to offer.

“The view of Shepparton from level four of the SAM building is unique for our region and takes on a new life at sunset,” he said.

“We look forward to welcoming people after work for a chance to catch up with old friends and make new ones too.”

The 18-and-over events will run every Thursday from 6pm to 8pm, from March 3 to April 14.

Level four of the museum is now open from 11am to 2pm every day.

Limited tickets will be released for sale one week in advance, available until sold out.

Tickets can be purchased via www.sheppartonartmuseum.com.au at $35 each, including three drinks and food catered by local providers.
