It was a wonderful ‘Holy Night’ at the annual Carol Service at St Stephen’s Anglican Church on Sunday evening.
More than 70 people attended the beautifully decorated church for the Christmas service conducted by Father Frederic and the Rev Gemma Le Mesurier.
The choral singing was exceptional.
The ‘icing on the cake’ was the performance of ‘Panis Angelicus’, sung by Rev Gemma and Catherine Browning, with Amelia Wells on flute, and a rendition of ‘Oh Holy Night’ by Ben Stonnill, all acknowledged by enthusiastic acclaim.
After the service, supper was enjoyed in the church grounds, and the famous Christmas hamper raffle was drawn, with the lucky winner being Bev Lawton.
We await next year’s offering!
