Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the death of a woman in Cobram on Tuesday, April 23.
Emergency services were called to a house on Campbell Rd about 2.15pm and located the body of a 49-year-old Cobram woman inside the property.
A 39-year-old Cobram man has been arrested and remains in custody.
The parties are believed to be known to each other, police said.
Police are working to establish the exact circumstances around the death and the investigation remains ongoing.
