A new two-day Victorian wine and comedy festival is coming to Nagambie in November.
Wine and comedy festival producers Grapes of Mirth have announced Comedy in the Vines, a two-day comedy and wine festival filled with a star-studded line-up.
Headlining the event are UK comedians Leigh Francis (also known as Keith Lemon), Russell Kane and Lloyd Langford, and Gareth Reynolds from the US.
Impressive home talent includes Tommy Little, Celia Pacquola, Anne Edmonds, Dave Hughes, Luke McGregor, Rhys Nicholson and many more.
Alongside the entertainment, festival goers will be treated to various wines from some of the region’s best wineries and local gourmet foods.
Comedy In The Vines head clown Merrick Watts said he was thrilled organisers could bring this festival to Nagambie.
“Fans of the funny and the finer things will get to kick back and enjoy the festival with the beautiful backdrop of the Goulburn Weir, and with local hospitality that is quickly cementing the region as one of the most exciting in the country,” he said.
“After some substantial flooding last year, the region has well and truly bounced back, and to see their positivity and support for this event is incredible.”
The festival will also host six live podcast recordings for several shows throughout the weekend, alongside a live cooking demonstration from Nat’s What I Reckon and a wine presentation by Mike Bennie.
The UK performance troupe Cocoloco will be wandering around the event, performing street theatre, and music will be provided by DJ Pedro throughout the festival.
The festival will be held on a private island accessible via Hide and Seek Winery on Saturday, November 11 and Sunday, November 12.
Comedy in the Vines tickets are now on sale, at $189 for the two days and $125 for single-day tickets.
Tickets for shuttle buses to and from the event from Shepparton, Seymour, Heathcote, Melbourne, Bendigo and Go Nagambie Lakeside Camping are also available.
