Started in 2021 by chief executive officer Tammi Ritchie, Infinity Coordination & Supports is a registered NDIS provider offering a range of disability support services across Albury-Wodonga, Benalla, Mansfield, Wangaratta and Shepparton.

Their services include support co-ordination, specialist disability accommodation, emergency respite, supported independent living, short-term accommodation, personal care, domestic assistance, community support and day programs.

The organisation is preparing to expand its services to include aged care home care co-ordination and support (HCP) in response to growing demand. Infinity Coordination's management confirmed that all agreements had been signed and the new service was expected to be offered from December 2024.

This move reflects the numerous community inquiries about such services and a clear need for more aged care options in the area.

“We’ve had so many people coming in to see if we offer those services, so there’s clearly a need in the area, and we want to be able to meet that need,” out-of-home care co-ordinator Sarah Swinson said.

The organisation is actively recruiting staff with the appropriate certifications to meet the specific requirements of aged care.

While positions such as personal care require formal qualifications, roles in community access and domestic assistance do not. Existing staff members with relevant experience in disability services may also transition to support this new offering.

“We’re just about to do another big hiring, more aimed at people that want to work with aged care (…) to hopefully reach out to those people that really need it,” Ms Swinson said.

Community engagement seems to be at the heart of Infinity Coordination’s operations as staff across locations regularly organise events aimed at fostering social connections and offering experiences for participants and the broader community.

These events include barbecues, luncheons, fundraisers and themed days that encourage inclusive participation.

“We do events like footy colours day and a couple of weeks ago, we had a big barbecue in the park,” Ms Swinson said.

“We did that in Albury, and a lot of our Benalla participants came up to that.

“We (also) partnered with 3D lanes in Wodonga and had a big bowling and mini golf evening, which is fabulous.

“We do lots of things – we’ve got pink ribbon coming up.

“We partnered with a local restaurant in Albury for a high tea.”
