Cobram Secondary College student Isabella De Vincentis had worked hard all year, but she was still nervous awaiting her ATAR results.
When she logged in to find out however, she couldn’t have been happier, having scored an impressive 81.35.
“I was really happy. I wasn't expecting it, so it was a good surprise,” Isabella said.
That happiness turned to ecstasy when she was then informed she was the school dux for 2024.
“It was a shock,” she said.
“I’m planning to take a gap year, but this score means I can get in to my course in 2026.”
Isabella is hoping to study either para-medicine or nursing, but will use her gap year to make a decision.
“I think I’d like to work and do some travel in the next 12 months,” she said.
When offering advice to students going into Year 12 in 2025 she said to give it their best shot.
“Give everything, and try your hardest in everything you do,” she said.
Isabella took the opportunity to celebrate with friends and family over the weekend.
“I’d like to thank all the CSC staff, my friends and family for supporting me through my whole journey,” she said.
“It helped to get me where I am today.”
