If you’re a recipient of an aged care service in a facility or in-home care or a representative of someone receiving these services, GV Health is calling on you to have your say.
GV Health has recently established its Aged Care Advisory Committee and is seeking members to join.
The committee will also include managers of aged care services.
The committee aims to improve services, care, safety, quality, experience and outcomes of those assessing care and services and support the ongoing development, planning and evaluation of aged care services at GV Health.
Committee applicants need to be either an aged care resident in an aged care facility or in-home care or a representative of those accessing services from the following aged care services:
- Grutzner House
- Parkvilla Aged Care Facility
- Waranga Aged Care Hostel and Nursing Home
- Home Nursing Service Shepparton
- District Nursing Service Waranga
- Rural Allied Health Team
- Community Interlink
GV Health executive director of community care and mental health Joshua Freeman said it was an excellent opportunity for those involved in these services to share their thoughts and implement change.
“Our aged care residents and representatives bring valuable experience, opinions and a unique insight into how we provide our services,” he said.
“The Aged Care Advisory Committee ensures that as a health service, we are providing connected, compassionate care and will be an excellent forum to ensure the voices of those who receive aged care services from GV Health are heard.”
To express interest in becoming a member, applicants can complete the registration survey by Tuesday, October 17.
The survey can be found at tinyurl.com/applynowGVHealth
GV Health will contact registrants to finalise their registration over the phone and determine how GV Health can best support them to be committee members.
