Kyabram Men’s Longest Lunch raises a record $28,000 for KDHS

Record figure: Nick Curnow, Duncan Worsfold, Tony Hansen, Anne McEvoy, Justin Barnett and Dale Denham.

Kyabram Men’s Longest Lunch was held in February at the Kyabram Club.

It was a sell-out event that aimed to raise funds and increase awareness for men’s mental and physical health.

Two AFL football legends were guest speakers: Garry Lyon and Noel ‘Kelly’ O’Donnell, both having grown up in Kyabram.

A record $28,000 was raised, which is the biggest total yet.

All proceeds from the lunch are donated to Kyabram District Health Service and are utilised to employ a health promotion officer for an extra day a week to focus on men’s health programs in Kyabram.

Over the past seven years, a total of $100,000 has been raised.

The KDHS thanks the following businesses: McPherson Media - Kyabram Free Press, Dawes & Vary Riordan, Sheridan Partners, Bendigo Bank, Advance Computing, Australian Consolidated Milk, HW Greenham & Sons, Atherton, Crow Constructions, Red Bull Racing, Cadell’s Food Service, B3architects, O’Connor’s Machinery, Hurley’s Hotel, Ciavarella Betta Electrical, Repco, Techies Tyres, Kyabram AutoPro, Fitzgerald’s Meats and Otto IT, which provided sponsorship and donated goods and services for the event.

KDHS also thanks and congratulates members of the Men’s Longest Lunch committee, who have volunteered their time to co-ordinate this fantastic annual event, and looks forward to continuing the collaboration in 2023.
