On International Women’s Day, La Trobe University highlighted its female leadership team across its regional campuses and senior executive group.

Each of the four regional campuses, Albury-Wodonga, Bendigo, Mildura and Shepparton, have female heads of campus, and the regional pro vice-chancellor is also a woman, with many more women in senior leadership roles across the university.

Associate Professor Melanie Bish said the university was strongly committed to gender equality, and more women in senior leadership roles was an important part of moving towards its goal.

“We are incredibly proud that across the university — in both academic and professional roles — women are leading the way,” Assoc Prof Bish said.

“This International Women’s Day we reflect on the strength and commitment of our female leaders as they work to create new social, economic and cultural codes for a gender equal future.”
