Thursday, September 14, heralds a new chapter in the book of Benalla with the grand opening of its new Visitor Information Centre and Cinema.

Officially known as the Enjoy Benalla’s Visitor Service, the one-stop shop for all things Benalla and the new home of movies in the Rose City, at 14 Mair St, will be officially opened by State Member for Northern Victoria, Jaclyn Symes.

The official unveiling will occur just before the facility is open to the public at 2pm.

Benalla Mayor Bernie Hearn said she was excited to see the finishing touches come together during the past month.

“This modern facility is not just a building; it’s a space designed to enhance people’s experience of Benalla, for both visitors and residents alike,” Cr Hearn said.

“The new premises will serve as a destination for our residents, and we are committed to providing ways for people to experience our culture and to enjoy Benalla.

“With new display areas and amenities, it’s a way to showcase our vibrant culture and to learn about our history.”

In addition to these exciting changes, the new Benalla Cinema is also opening on Thursday.

The first movie, Theatre Camp, will be screened at 2.30pm with tickets on sale via benallacinema.com.au/
