The driver involved in a fatal collision at Lancaster in January, where a Shepparton man died, has pleaded guilty to charges resulting from the crash.

Riley Jack Camin, 18, pleaded guilty in Bendigo Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, September 6 to dangerous driving causing death and dangerous driving causing serious injury.

He was one of the drivers involved in a fatal two-vehicle collision on the corner of Lancaster and Dunbar Rds, Lancaster, about 10.35pm on January 20.

The other vehicle’s driver, Shepparton man Alexander ‘Bill’ Eagle, died at the scene.

His 18-year-old passenger was flown to a Melbourne hospital with serious injuries.

On Wednesday, the magistrate committed Camin — who lived in Deniliquin at the time of the crash but now lives in Kyabram — to Shepparton County Court in November for a guilty plea.

Camin remains on bail, with conditions including not driving, surrendering his passport, not attending international points of departure and not leaving Australia.
