The collective sound of thousands of music lovers is soon to grace the Showgrounds once more, with Land of Plenty just around the corner.
After having to postpone the event multiple times, Red Hill Entertainment co-founder and festival director Aidan McLaren said this year’s festival was taking it up a notch.
“For Land of Plenty to come back in its second year, after such a long time without live music, and to offer something back to the community, that's what we are most excited about,“ Mr McLaren said.
“To be singing along to some of Australia's best live music, sampling delicious food, enjoying the rides, and so much more, we can't believe that it's finally taking place this weekend.
“There is so much to look forward to, but to be giving the community an opportunity to gather together and celebrate together, that's significant and special for us.”
Simple foot-tapping goodness doesn’t cover the line-up provided; local acts Go Dog Go and Vince the Kid will be joined by headliners Ball Park Music and G Flip among more.
For a breather, there will be rides, local market stalls, art installations and other experiences open to the crowd.
And it wouldn’t be Land of Plenty without catering to the masses — the festival promises delights ranging from smokehouse barbecue to homemade poffertjes, gourmet pizza, great coffee plus more.
Mr McLaren said it was set to be a “busy weekend”, with accommodation across the region booked out, and gave some advice to festival-goers.
“It will be amazing to welcome so many people back to the area,” he said.
“Have fun, look after your friends, and make sure to keep singing, dancing and smiling all day long! That's what music festivals are all about.”
