The Benalla Lions Antiques and Collectables Fair returned to the Rose City on Saturday and Sunday, October 12 and 13.

With vendors from across the state, and further afield, there was something for everyone.

From large pieces of furniture and fine china, to classic toys, tools, books and much more, there were certainly some bargains to be found.

Event organiser Lion Marg Poels said it was nice to hold the fair after floodwaters prevented it from taking place in 2023.

“There were people lining up at the door when we arrived this morning,” Ms Poels said.

“We have 19 different sellers. We start arranging this around March, so it takes some time.”

Funds raised from the fair are used by the Benalla Lions Club for one of its projects.

“But I haven’t picked a project yet,” Ms Poels said.

“That’s on my to-do list.”

Ms Poels said she had received great feedback from vendors and attendees.

“We have a prize, which is a lovely chair donated by Elm Tree Antiques in Benalla,” she said.

“Everyone who attends enters a draw to win that.”

Ms Poels said one of the most popular pieces on display was a rattan Harley-Davidson motorbike.

“That’s been very popular,” she said.
