Local coach wins netball grand final

In a stunning display of netball prowess, Corowa Rutherglen Roos Netball Club Coach, Sophie Hanrahan, secured her second premiership title for the City West Falcons in the Victorian Netball League Championship Division Grand Final.

The match, held at the State Netball Centre in Melbourne, on Wednesday August 7, saw the Falcons triumph over the Boroondara Express with a decisive 64-53 victory.

Hanrahan, a celebrated figure in the netball community, further solidified her legacy with this win.

Her remarkable contributions to the sport have been consistently recognized, with the triple Toni Wilson Medallist continuing to showcase her exceptional netball skills.

This latest premiership not only adds to her impressive list of achievements but also marks the third consecutive title for the City West Falcons.
