Local firies honoured for dedicated service

Michael Maher receives his first clasp from Zone Commander of Regional South three, Superintendent Stewart Alexander.

Three locals have been honoured for their service to the community as Fire + Rescue NSW firefighters.

In a special ceremony in Deniliquin last week, awards which recognise long service and good conduct were presented by Regional South three Zone Commander, Superintendent Stewart Alexander.

Stuart Muirhead and Nick Wall each received the National Medal, awarded for 15 years of long service and good conduct.

A clasp is added for each additional 10 years, with Michael Maher receiving his first clasp in the same ceremony.
