Music lovers met in Colbinabbin for OcTolbo on Sunday afternoon to enjoy some tunes from local musicians.
The event first began back in 2019 but took a hiatus soon after due to COVID-19.
It has now made a return, with this years event including performances by The Colbo Pub Choir with Ruth Woodman on piano, Lucid Lucy from Tat-Waranga, Maple and Murray from Tongala-Shepparton and local trio, Angelus.
Event co-organiser and compere Liz Quinlivan said the events is a way to highlight the musical talents in the area.
“We have the silo arts trail here and we have a lot of tourists come through so we decided we wanted to hold a little mini festival,” she said.
“Essentially we are trying to incorporate local musicians from within the area and the shire.
“We try and involve many different acts so that everyone has a fair share to be heard.”
The day kicked off at 1pm and ran until 6pm with 30 minute intermissions between each act.
Guests were able to enjoy coffees, beers, wines and snacks from the Colbinabbin Country Hotel during the breaks.
The headlining act, local trio Angelus, entertained the crowd with two guitars, a cello and their voices.
Maple and Murray held the audiences attention as they harmonised a range of songs in their acoustic style, with only a guitar accompanying them.
The youngest of the acts, Lucid Lucy, was new to the stage at just 12 years old and performed ‘Memory’ from the Cats musical.
The Colbo Pub Choir with Ruth Woodman on the piano was also a crowd favourite and well enjoyed.
In the closing act, Ms Quinlivan joined the performers on stage with her banjo for a performance of ‘The Way That It Goes’ by Gillian Welch.
