Amaranth Foundation CEO Julianne Whyte has been named the Local Woman of the Year 2024.

This prestigious accolade, bestowed upon Julianne by Member for Albury Justin Clancy, recognises her significant role in fostering positive change within the local area.

The Local Woman of the Year Awards, an integral part of the community’s annual celebrations, aims to spotlight the remarkable achievements of women who serve as pillars of strength, innovation, and compassion. These awards run parallel with the broader Women of the Year Awards program, casting a well-deserved light on local women who make a real difference.

Julianne’s selection from a group of exceptionally talented and dedicated female leaders speaks volumes about her outstanding service and leadership.

Her work through the Amaranth Foundation has provided invaluable support to many and highlighted the importance of community-focused initiatives in building a stronger society.

“I feel passionately about social justice and disadvantage and love where I live,” she told the Free Press.

“The two are my driving force behind all the work we do here at Amaranth and my commitment to this community and our people.

“Being recognised by our MP, Justin Clancy, is a great honour. Justin is very aware of the work we do, and I know him on a personal level.

“We share the same passion and commitment to our community and our people.

“With this recognition, I am hopeful that our community can come behind all the programs we run at Amaranth and continue to support us positively and ensure that this Foundation continues to have a local presence.”
