The popular Melbourne to MOVE rally and accompanying Finish Line Festival is set to return to Shepparton this April.

Attendees will have a chance to explore the museum, where a range of vehicles from classic cars to vintage buses will be on display.

Festival-goers will also be able to enjoy live music performances from local artists as well as a barbecue prepared by The Woolshed at Emerald Bank.

"We are excited to provide an event that brings together families, vehicle enthusiasts, and the wider community to enjoy an evening of great food, music and camaraderie," MOVE board director Adam Katsoutas said.

The rally will begin with a breakfast and a tour of the facilities at the CMV Truck and Bus dealership in Derrimut before setting out on a drive through Victoria's countryside.

It will then stop in Tooborac and Toolamba, where lunch will be provided by The Little Gourmet Food Company before reaching the festival at MOVE.

"As an independent not-for-profit entity, MOVE relies on events like Melbourne to MOVE to raise funds and awareness for our museum," Mr Katsoutas said.

"The event will show an impressive line-up of vehicles and support our mission to celebrate and preserve automotive history."

City of Greater Shepparton Mayor Shane Sali said the rally would be a huge drawcard for the region.

“We are extremely fortunate to have such an impressive museum like MOVE in our region’s backyard. The museum paints an incredible picture of the transport industry and its history, with the Goulburn Valley being one of Australia’s most important regional transport hubs,” he said.

“We look forward to welcoming the Melbourne to MOVE rally participants to the region next month. There is plenty to see and do in Greater Shepparton so we encourage visitors to extend their stay, explore our small towns and experience what makes our region so great.”
