Man charged after Shepparton house and cars allegedly broken into

A Shepparton house and several cars were allegedly broken into on Monday, June 5.

Shepparton Crime Investigation Unit First Constable Marko Mitic said a Fitzpatrick St house was broken into about 2.30pm.

Police allege three cars were also broken into in the street and in the nearby Shepparton Private Hospital car park.

Police arrested a man as he allegedly attempted to break into another vehicle in the area, First Constable Mitic said.

A 46-year-old Kialla man has been charged with burglary, three counts of theft from a vehicle, attempted theft from a vehicle, handling stolen goods, committing an indictable offence while on bail and possessing a schedule four poison.

He has been remanded in custody to appear in Shepparton Magistrates’ Court next month.
