A 25-year-old man has been charged over the alleged theft of vehicles and power tools from properties around Moama.
Following inquiries, police attended a motel in Moama on Friday, October 28 and arrested the man who is believed to have been involved with the theft of a Holden Commodore and a Peugeot 330.
The man was taken to Deniliquin Police Station where he was allegedly charged with take and drive conveyance without consent of owner, goods suspected stolen in/on premises, possess unauthorised firearm, and possess ammunition without holding licence/permit/authority.
Between July 5 and July 6 of this year, a white Holden Commodore was allegedly stolen during a break and enter at a home on Echuca Street, Moama.
The vehicle was then recovered by police in Victoria on Tuesday, August 2.
Police will allege in court that the white Holden Commodore was painted black and had its registration altered.
On Thursday, August 4, a white Peugeot 330 was allegedly stolen from an address on Echuca Street, Moama, and power tools were allegedly stolen from a property on Old Deniliquin Road, Moama.
On Wednesday, September 7, police attended a home on George Steet, Moama, and allegedly located the Peugeot, trailer and power tools, as well as a replica firearm, ammunition, and a firearm magazine.
The man appeared in Deniliquin Local Court on Friday, October 28 where he was granted conditional bail to appear in Moama Local Court on Thursday, November 17.
