A man has died following a single-vehicle crash in Mathoura on Wednesday night.
Emergency services were called to the site on Cobb Hwy, about 20km south of Deniliquin, about 6.50pm.
Murray River police were told the vehicle left the road and hit a tree.
The male driver, who is yet to be formally identified, died at the scene.
The road was closed during the night due to the incident, but has since reopened.
A crime scene was established and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash has commenced. A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
