The images coming out of the recent floods were heartbreaking for not only the community but also for the nation.

Revolution Print has joined forces with Ball & Doggett and Konica Minolta to raise funds for both Echuca Neighbourhood House and Rochester Community House by putting together a calendar of images from the community.

Tegan Mills, manager of the Echuca branch of Revolution Print, has said the team has chosen the two community organisations because of their on the groundwork during the floods.

“They’re the ones on the ground and they know who needs the support better than some of the less local organisations,” Ms Mills said.

All 12 of the images in the calendar have been provided by locals, include the Riverine Herald’s own photographer, Steve Huntley.

After putting the call out for images, the creative team was quickly inundated, so a selection has been chosen for the online gallery.

“Obviously we could only choose 12, so a lot of the other photos are online so people didn’t feel left out,” Ms Mills said.

The team has printed a limited run of 1000 calendars, and has already crossed the $1000 mark of fundraising between sales and donations.

“Some people didn’t necessarily want the calendar, but they wanted to donate, so there are donate buttons on the same website,” Ms Mills said.

“When the calendars are sold, we’ll have raised $30,000-plus donations.”

The Flood Relief calendars are available online from Revolution Print at www.revo-supports.com.au/flood-fundraiser for $30.

With paper, printing and time all being donated, 100 per cent of money raised will go towards Echuca Neighbourhood House and Rochester Community House.

The funds will be used to help members of the community access essentials such as food and groceries, accommodation and temporary housing, communicating and coordinating clean-up assistance and connecting those in need with medical and counselling services.
