Murray River Council residents have organised a meeting on Sunday, June 9, at 11am to address the reclassification of community land by council.

The meeting will be held at Rivergums Drive Park, known as Winbi Park, on Rivergums Dve, Moama. Winbi park is one of lots to be reclassified.

Attendees will discuss the proposed reclassification of 18 lots in Murray River Council, and how they can reject the proposal.

The event has been shared on social media, with organisers, including Debbie Egan, inviting all residents to attend on the Echuca Moama community Facebook page.

“Let’s keep our community green,” she said.

“See you on Sunday – together we can make a difference.”

The 18 lots include 11 sites in Moama, mostly parks and reserves, two in Mathoura, one in Barham, Tooleybuc, Goodnight and Murray Downs.
