Michael Hand and his loyal companion share a bond like no other

Deefa was delivered from Wagga Wagga in 2019, and Mr Hand immediately fell in love with the adorable pooch.

The name Deefa came from Mr Hand’s abbreviation for “D for dog”, and it quickly became a name that suited him perfectly.

Deefa is now four years old and has grown into a magnificent dog, with a strong, muscular build and an affectionate personality.

However, Deefa is not just a pet to Mr Hand; he is a loyal companion and a protector.

“He sleeps on my bed, and during the day if it’s too hot he stays inside with the air con on,” he said.

Mr Hand said despite his size, Deefa had never caused any trouble.

“He has never done anything naughty — no holes, he’s literally done nothing wrong,” Mr Hand said.

Although he enjoys spending time with his owner, Deefa’s social life is not limited to just Mr Hand’s company; he also enjoys playing with his dog friend, Mia.

Mia is owned by Mr Hand’s housemate, and the dogs have formed a special bond.

Mia is known for her boundless energy and loves to run and play, while Deefa is more docile and laid-back.

Despite their differences in energy levels, the two dogs have a great time together.
