Tocumwal Football Netball Club held its annual Mini’s Day on Saturday in celebration of the under-11s - the up and coming Baby Bloods netballers.

It was a freezing cold, raining and windy morning when the proud Minis teams from Tocumwal and Rennie ran through a banner in their honour before the game with parents and spectators forming a guard of honour.

After the game, the girls from both teams enjoyed party food with a goodie bag gifted to each player from the TFNC.

Despite the wintry conditions, the girls had a great time.

It is fantastic to see how much these girls’ skills have developed in their first season with the Tocumwal Bloods.

Thank you to Kelly Baldwin for generously organising and donating the gift bags and decorations, to Helen Barker for the fantastic photos, and to Leiann McKenzie for her help in organising such a memorable day for the girls.

From all reports, the Tocumwal Community Development Committee’s Christmas in July event was a raging success.

The committee downscaled its original festive mingle plans to having it held at the Terminus Hotel on Saturday.

Anthony Tenace entertained the 50 people in attendance while they enjoyed a two-course meal.

“Everyone had a great time. The food was magnificent, especially the sweets, and Anthony Tenace was at his best with the music,” said TCDC president John Stringer.

“A complete success.”

Tocumwal’s Lisa Clark was the lucky winner of the weekend at Dreaming of the Buckland Alpine Holiday Retreat worth $1480.

Another 13 people walked away happy with more raffle prizes.

Congratulations to the TCDC on another successful event.
