Mitre 10 Benalla has once again been crowned the Garden Centre of the Year for Victoria and Tasmania.

For the fourth year in a row, the centre has been recognised as among the best in the country, with its vibrant flowers and great range of stock on offer.

Manager Karen Moloney said the win was thanks to the team’s efforts.

“It’s very rewarding because we put so much work into it,” she said.

“We always try and make it look colourful, neat and tidy. It’s easy to walk through, and we offer lots of different price points as well.

“I also try to have different plants here every week, so we have lots of variety.”

Now, the store is eligible for the national competition, where Mitre 10 stores from across Australia will vie for the coveted Best Garden Centre of the Year award.

The store’s Stacey Stylianou said staff were hopeful of a win.

“I think we’re in with a good shot,” she said.
