The Moira Shire Council is calling on residents to take part in a community panel to provide input on council’s long-term vision.

Council is seeking 20 individuals aged 18 or older to apply for a position on the panel, which it says will provide insight to council into the needs and aspirations of the entire community.

Specifically, the panel’s role will be to provide input into the development of council’s Moira Community Vision 2045 and Council Plan 2025-2029.

Moira Shire Council Chair Administrator Dr Emonson said the panel will ensure the community’s voice is at the heart of council’s long-term vision and strategic planning.

“Forming a clear and forward-thinking vision for Moira Shire is crucial for guiding our future growth and development,” Dr Emonson said.

“By bringing together residents from various backgrounds, experiences and perspectives, the panel will provide valuable insights, advice, and feedback to guide the development of a 20-year vision for Moira Shire.

“Whether you are a long-time resident or new to the area, your perspective is valuable, and we encourage you to apply. We are looking for people from all walks of life who want to make a positive impact on our Shire’s future.“

Interested residents who are passionate about their local community are asked to apply through www.moiramatters.com.au/community-panel

Alternatively, residents can pick up an application form at the Cobram Service Centre on Station St.

Applications close Thursday, October 3.
