Moira Shire Council says it is stepping up its flood response by opening a flood recovery hub in Nathalia and holding an information session at Barmah.

The hub in Nathalia opens on Monday, November 28 at Nathalia Community House, 17 Harcourt St, and will provide opportunities for flood-impacted people to consult relevant service providers and support agencies and to speak with council staff.

The event will include a morning tea and refreshments and is being held between 10.30am and 11.30am.

The hub is open on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9.30am to noon and then from 1pm to 3pm.

The council’s flood mobile recovery hub information session at Barmah will be held on Tuesday, November 29 at 16 Schier St between 10.30am and 2pm.

It will include a free sausage sizzle and refreshments will be provided between noon and 1.30pm.

A Japanese encephalitis vaccination clinic has also been organised.

The council said flood-affected people could meet with relevant service providers, register for follow-up assistance, connect with support agencies and chat with council staff at the hub.
