Mooroopna-based real estate agents Peter Cardamone and Brad Campbell have been rated among regional Victoria’s top dozen salesmen.
Based on industry website realestate.com.au sales figures, the pair, from Cardamone Real Estate in Mooroopna, have enjoyed a successful 12 months, with Mr Cardamone selling 82 properties, to be the eighth most successful agent in regional Victoria, and Mr Campbell selling 76, to be placed 12th.
“I think that it says a lot about Brad and myself and the team,” Mr Cardamone, who is director of the company, said.
“We’re proactive and we get up every day and we’re motivated and we’re focused, but we have a bit of fun along the way and I think most people know that we’re good fellas and I think a lot of people like to deal with locals who they know, and I think that’s the secret.”
Mr Campbell is a sales executive with the company and says the achievements reflect a team effort by all staff at the firm.
“We’ve got a really good team,” he said.
“It’s a bit of a team effort here to be helping your vendor or your buyer. It’s not about who does it. It’s about just trying to work together to get the job done.
“We work really hard, we do work extremely hard. We put in the time and effort.”
Mr Cardamone, who is also known for his football commentary with Triple M Melbourne, said the Greater Shepparton property market had been very active in recent years, boosted by COVID-influenced interest, but had stabilised in recent times.
“For the right property that has its high-end fixtures, fittings, quality home and they’re still making good money, but homes that are average in presentation, people are negotiating harder on those. So vendors are becoming more realistic,” he said.
“If there’s a cash offer on the table — as they say, cash is king — I think that’s a strong position to be in. If you’re a buyer and you’ve got a pre-approval or a cash offer, then I think there’s room for negotiation with some properties.
“So the market certainly changed a little bit.”
Cardamone Real Estate was also winner of the Agency of the Year award for 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023 via the www.ratemyagent.com.au website.
