Members of the Finley Pioneer Rail Museum Inc have been conducting a raffle recently and would like to advise the successful ticket holder for the extensive hamper was Wendy Lane from JDS/Dawmac, Finley.

The organisers would like to thank all who supported this fundraiser.

Finley Pioneer Rail members continue with the restoration efforts at the venue.

With the approval of Transport Heritage NSW, the station and outbuildings will be repaired and painted early in the New Year.

Following the successful application for funding, this work will be undertaken by Francois Piat and Travis Rochford, painter and decorator.

The FPR Museum Committee meets at the station on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 2pm and new members are always welcome.

Many Finley residents took advantage of the opportunity to attend the ‘Drop In’ held at the front of the Finley Medical Centre and peruse the first viewing of the Finley Health Service Redevelopment.

Team member Kate Roberts was very helpful and encouraged those attending to take part in the survey giving members of the community a chance to provide feedback.

While the upgrade to health services is welcomed, there is widespread disappointment that the current redevelopment does not include a CT service and the much-anticipated rehabilitation department which was discussed at the original public meeting.

Information material and a copy of the master plan is located in the administration area of the Finley Hospital.

Anyone interested in completing the short community survey can do so by scanning the QR code on the information sheet, going to the project website at www.mlhd.health.nsw.gov.au/finley-redevelopment or by emailing MLHD-Finley-Redevelopment@health.nsw.gov.au.
