Head along and enjoy the refurbished Rochester library, with something for everyone and all activities are free.

Weekly activities are varied, from cards and Scrabble, to tech help and rhyme time.

Lego play: Drop in and construct whatever you can imagine from a variety of Lego bricks every Wednesday from 3.15pm to 4.15pm.

Toddler rhyme time: For children aged up to three. Held the first Tuesday of each month starting at 10.30am.

As well as a great range of reading materials, you will also find community jigsaw puzzles, community jigsaw swap and children’s colouring and activity table.

Drop in and use the free WIFI and the computer during opening hours.

The library and service centre and library reopened at its Mackay St location last month after significant damage from the 2022 floods forced the relocation to a Gillies St site.

The Rochester service centre and library are open Tuesday to Friday from 8.30am to 4.30pm (closed from noon to 1pm each day).
