Motorcyclist crashed into tree to avoid hitting a dog

A motorcyclist crashed into a tree after swerving to avoid hitting a dog that ran across the road on Friday night.

At 9.40pm, a 33-year-old man was travelling down Kashelmara Dve when a dog ran across the road.

Leading Senior Constable Corey Wild said the man swerved to avoid hitting the dog and crashed into a “small tree”.

The man was assessed at the scene by Ambulance Victoria officers and was transferred to GV Health for further assessment.

He had no serious injuries, with only cuts and bruises, according to Leading Sen Constable Wild.

Leading Sen Constable Wild said the dog was not harmed.
