Murchison Men’s Shed is still waiting on needed funding.
State Member for Euroa Annabelle Cleeland recently brought up the issue in parliament, saying that the men’s shed was still waiting on crucial government funding.
“Unfortunately, the Murchison Men’s Shed is still waiting on funding promised by this government at the last election — $100,000 that would go towards improving their meeting space and help keep the older members warm and comfortable,” she said.
“Despite making this a major local election commitment during the 2022 election, the Labor Government has failed to provide the Murchison Men’s Shed with all the funding they had been promised.”
Ms Cleeland questioned the Carers and Volunteers Minister about other men’s sheds across Victoria that might be in similar situations.
“Men’s sheds create safe and inclusive spaces where men can come together, foster social connections and actively participate in their communities,” she said.
