Ahead of the 2024 NSW local government elections, the ballot paper order for each council was drawn on Thursday, August 15, at 2pm.
The Murray River Council ballot paper order was drawn at the Edward River Returning Officer’s Deniliquin office.

For the Greater Wakool Ward, three candidates were nominated for three positions. This means their election is uncontested.
Gary Pappin of Mellool, Neil Gorey of Barham and Dennis Gleeson of Calimo are declared elected.
