The Mustang Owners Club of Australia Victorian branch gathered in force at Echuca Aquatic Reserve on Sunday, November 10 for a display of vehicles from the past and present.

Over 50 club members in 43 vintage or new Ford Mustangs travelled from near and far to Echuca-Moama over the weekend to exhibit their prize vehicles and explore the surrounding areas.

The club raised thousands of dollars for Echuca Village CFA, a now annual partnership, so, in return, the club was treated to breakfast and coffee by the brigade.

“The meeting with the fire brigade went very well this morning, we gave them a cheque to help them out, and then they kindly led a parade around the town before dropping us off here, it was lovely,” MOCA Victorian branch president Ian Collins said.

“Each year, the committee sits down and decides what organisations we donate to, and we know how much work the Echuca Village CFA does, so it was a no-brainer to give to them.”

Mr Collins said this was the third time the club had travelled to Echuca-Moama, which has now become a staple in the club calendar due to the range of activities and eateries the twin towns have to offer.

“It’s quite a nice drive up here from Melbourne, and it caters to us well because we can find restaurants that’ll seat 50 people,” he said.

“There’s been a few onlookers come and had a look and chat to some of the members, which has been nice.

“This is our third time coming here as a club, so it’s become an annual event, we love visiting, it’s a great place with plenty of things to do.”
