After 15 years with NCN Health, chief executive officer Jacque Phillips has resigned.

The resignation, effective Friday, January 12, will see an end to a career with the organisation, which included Numurkah District Health Service chief executive officer, then Cobram District Health and Nathalia District Hospital as acting CEO.

Ms Phillips was then appointed the inaugural CEO of the combined NCN Health.

NCN Health director of operations Justin Sullivan will be acting CEO, while the board of directors move through the recruitment process to fill the permanent CEO position.

Board director chair Tricia Quibell has thanked Mrs Phillips for her dedication and contribution to the health service and acknowledged she would be greatly missed across NCN Health.

“This has been a difficult decision for Jacque to make, but after 15 years, she has decided to pursue a new career opportunity,” Ms Quibell said.

Ms Quibell said Mrs Phillips led the organisation through the COVID-19 pandemic and numerous natural disasters, and under her leadership, the organisation had reached many milestones.

“She has overseen the rebuild of the Numurkah Hospital and Community Health post the floods of 2012 to open in 2015, the transition of Nathalia District Hospital from GV Health management to being part of NCN Health, the redevelopment of the Cobram Urgent Care Centre opening in February 2024 and securing $55 million in funding for the new Numurkah Pioneers Memorial Lodge at the last State Government budget,” Ms Quibell said.

“NCN Health will continue to grow from strength to strength, thanks in no small part to the leadership, dedication and legacy of Jacque.”

Mrs Phillips new role will be the Murray Primary Health Network chief operations officer.
