New electric vehicle charging stations in Nagambie

Two new electric vehicle charging stations are now live and ready to be utilised by drivers in the High St car park in Nagambie.

The project comes after car charging station company Evie Networks put in an application, supported by Strathbogie Shire Council, for Destination Charging Across Victoria Program to place one 50kW EV charger in Nagambie.

Evie Networks chief operations officer Geoff Brady said the partnership enabled further tourism and travel through key regional towns such as Shepparton.

“Evie Networks continues to invest in electric vehicle infrastructure in key locations Australia-wide, opening up new journeys for EV drivers,” he said.

Strathbogie Shire Mayor Laura Binks said the EV charging stations would mean the Nagambie community was contributing to achieving net zero emissions.

“It’s also a fantastic way of attracting tourism, as we know so many drivers are making the switch to EVs,” she said.
